Portfolio Project: Optical Illusion
I am interested in the gap between reality and what we think we see. Because I have a history of retinal detachments, I often doubt the validity of "seeing is believing." I don't always trust what I see. The retina of my right eye is so damaged that everything looks wavy. Luckily, my brain has learned to suppress the information coming from the bad eye, and rely upon the better eye. Otherwise, the waviness would be unbearable.
